Royal Ascot 2020 – flat racing’s most prestigious meeting – will take place behind closed doors this year as the world continues to battle the Coronavirus pandemic. That means no roaring crowds, no Royal precession, and for the first time in her 68-year reign, no Her Majesty The Queen.
But let’s not be too downbeat – there’s still five days of top class racing to enjoy. With highlights including the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and the Gold Cup, an extended programme means there will be a mouthwatering 36-races staged over the five-day festival.
And the BetConnect team couldn’t be more excited, so much so that we’ve even tried to recreate some of that famous Royal Ascot atmosphere from the comfort of our own homes!
Virtual beers, including a top hat and rogue cat…
BBQ in the sun and Royal Ascot, a winning combination…
Dress to impress (even if it is in your living room)…
The home schooling might have to take a backseat this week…
