With the Champions League and relegation spots yet to be confirmed, there’s bound to be drama when the 2019/20 Premier League season comes to a close on Sunday. Here’s all you need to know ahead of the Premier League final day.
What still needs to be decided?
Two months later than scheduled and with no fans in the stands, Sunday will see the curtain finally come down on the 2019/20 Premier League season. Liverpool may have already been crowned champions but there is still plenty to be decided at both ends of the table on the final day.
Just one point separates Manchester United and Chelsea from Leicester in the battle for a top four spot. The Foxes face United on the final day in what is effectively a straight shoot-out for Champions League qualification. Chelsea will hope to pick up all three points at home to Wolves, although it will be no easy task, especially with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side locked in a battle of their own to secure a Europa League spot.
Meanwhile, two from Aston Villa, Watford and Bournemouth will join Norwich in the Championship next season. Villa go to West Ham, who have already guaranteed their safety, while Watford and Bournemouth face tough trips to Arsenal and West Ham respectively.

That’s an average of 3.60 goals per game, compared to the seasonal average of 2.82.
